Burleigh Mural - Mural Art Competition

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Dirty Hands Art Space presented an exciting opportunity—an art competition that promised the winner the privilege of painting a 37m2 mural in the heart of Burleigh Heads. The competition's brief challenged participants to create an artwork that not only conveys the essence of Burleigh but also encapsulates the dreams and aspirations we associate with this beloved place. Out of numerous submissions, our design managed to secure a place among the final 10 shortlisted artists.

THE OUTCOME
Through the power of popular vote, we emerged winners —a testament to our connection with Burleigh. Our mural is a vibrant tapestry that beautifully encapsulates the magic of Burleigh. At its core, it celebrates the rich tapestry of the Burleigh community—a community that embraces diversity and inclusivity. Love, peace, and joy permeate every inch of the mural, reflecting the positivity that radiates from the vibrant souls who call Burleigh home.
